Oh how I love this time of year!!!! This is when we should celebrate "The New Year" not in January when everything is frozen, gloomy, and sleeping. Excuse the Julie Andrews in me but "The hills are alive with singing!!!" (better the hills than me, I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket). These are a few of my favorite things that have taken place recently.
). My purple crocus bloomed (my favorite color) and the other colors too
). My winter daphne has bloomed and I can smell it's beauty in my backyard. It is such a sweet smell. I can always find that scent when I walk the neighborhoods
). My hyacinths have bloomed with their lovely fragrance
). My hydrangea is showing signs of life
). My hostas are waking up
). My grape hyacinths have multiplied and are standing tall
). Daffodils everywhere make up for the lack of sunshine here in Oregon
). My vinca are bright and purple and look so lovely in my cottage stone bed
). My lilac that my father in law and I planted together (he has passed away and I miss him, so that lilac is extra special to me) is green with leaves
). My weeds runneth over but I am excited to get out there and be with them too
). Everywhere I look I see the artistic hand of God Almighty. There never has been a more creative artist than Him. His colors are beyond description. He has made it all for us to enjoy and that I do!!! Thank you Father for the beauty of nature, it is awesome!!!
It's never too late!
